A snippet of my journey so far...
During August 2017, I stepped into the role of, Assistant Head of Primary, at the British International School Riyadh, an all-through school (students aged 3 to 18) in the Middle East. I aim to blog about my role and travels.
I have taught and coached children, youths and adults in a whole range of settings over the last fourteen years. Before studying my PGDE in primary education at Strathclyde University (Glasgow, Scotland), I coached football, various sports & outdoor activities in Scotland, as well as the United States at Lindley G. Cook 4-H summer camp. This was while I was studying for my BA in Sports Development and Coaching at the University of the West of Scotland (Paisley, Scotland).
For eight and a half years, I have been teaching abroad. It has been a brilliant experience, providing my family with many opportunities - meeting people from all over the world, experiencing new cultures, and travelling as much as possible.
While at my current school, I completed my NPQML with University College London (London, England) and Infinite Learning (Dubai, UAE) during 2016-17, and I am about to embark on my NPQH with them, joining their January 2019 cohort.
My family and I, well, we split our time between our homelands - the Philippines and Scotland - and other places across the globe. I might blog about that too.
